Saudi Arabia’s real estate sector is emerging as a powerful driver of economic growth, offering unprecedented opportunities for international investors. Thanks to strategic reforms and a clear vision focused on economic diversification, the Kingdom is positioning itself as one of the most attractive destinations for foreign capital in the real estate sector.
The Minister of Economy and Planning, Faisal Al-Ibrahim, told Al-Arabiya Business that the Saudi government has created a favorable environment for the private sector, facilitating high-quality investments in real estate development. This commitment is reflected in concrete measures aimed at stabilizing and making the market more accessible, creating an ideal setting for investors seeking solid and sustainable returns.
Recently, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced new initiatives to stimulate the sector, including lifting restrictions on land transactions and developing strategic areas in northern Riyadh. This move will not only improve housing accessibility but will also make the market more dynamic and attractive to international investors.
According to an analysis by JLL published in March, Saudi Arabia’s real estate sector is set for significant expansion, with the market projected to reach a value of $101.62 billion by 2029, growing at an annual rate of 8% from 2024. This highlights the strong potential for returns for investors looking to enter this rapidly evolving market.
The Kingdom’s non-oil sector is expected to grow by 5.8% in 2025, up from 4.5% in 2024, confirming the success of the economic diversification strategies promoted by Vision 2030. Saudi Arabia is making massive investments in infrastructure, tourism, and urban development—key elements that are further enhancing the appeal of its real estate market.
Saud Al-Sulaimani, JLL’s country head for Saudi Arabia, emphasized that the strength of Vision 2030 is attracting a growing flow of both domestic and international capital. Key cities such as Riyadh and Jeddah are seeing sustained demand, driven by major infrastructure projects and the expansion of the tourism sector.
For foreign investors, Saudi Arabia offers an increasingly clear and structured regulatory environment, with new legislative measures set to be announced soon to ensure transparency, stability, and investment protection. Now is the time to enter this market: ongoing reforms are transforming the real estate sector into one of the most exciting opportunities in the global economic landscape.
