Italy and the United Arab Emirates sign declarations of intent on strategic partnership and cooperation within the framework of Cop28. Agreement also signed between Eni and Adnoc.
A strategic partnership to define action plans and outline relationships for the near future. A declaration of cooperation was also signed within the framework of Cop28, which will take place in Dubai from November 30 to December 12, 2023.
The Italian mission in the United Arab Emirates unfolded in a conference held at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi. The Italian delegation, consisting of the Prime Minister and, among others, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani, and the CEO of Eni, Claudio Descalzi, had a face-to-face meeting with Sheikh Al Nahyan.
Eni has been present in the United Arab Emirates since 2018 in the sectors of hydrocarbon exploration, development, and production, refining, trading, and chemicals.
With a production of 60,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, it is one of the major international operators in the country.

Also present was the CEO of Adnoc, Sultan Al Jaber, who is also the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and the designated President of Cop28.
